What is RSS?

When i first started this blog i was driving to work and getting sick and tired of overbearing DJs.

I probably listened to a book a week during my commute - and more often than not begrudged getting out of the car to sit behind my soundless desk!

After a slight hiatus (i moved, changed jobs and got married...not quite all at once) i juggling both books (gasp!) and audiobooks – but this blog is purely for my first love, Audio...

They're super easy to download these days, by just subscribing to a site like audible or iTunes. Or, you can buy on CD, and either listen to it on a CD player, or download on to your MP3 player via your PC/Mac. Saying that - i did my first Podiobook review recently. It was a serialised novel downloadable from either the dedicated website or iTunes.

There's a unique pleasure with an audiobook, something you won’t get with paper. It's decadent, being read to. Plus, some of the productions and performances are just brilliant. (ahem, and this, of course depends on the author), Robert Carlyle has been one of my favourite readers so far…
