Just a Minute: The Best of 2006

Just a minute.jpgJust a Minute: The Best of 2006

If you fancy a chuckle for a solid two hours, then this is the audio for you! The Beep presents a round-up of four of the best episodes of "Just a Minute", the much-loved, long-running Radio 4 show, on two CDs. With Nicholas Parsons keeping order in the chairman's seat, panellists including; Paul Merton, Graham Norton, the dry humoured Clement Freud, Sue Perkins, Stephen Fry, Jenny Eclair, the outrageous Julian Clary and Lisa Tarbuck attempt to speak for sixty seconds on a random subject. The only thing is, they’re not allowed to hesitate, repeat words or deviate from the subject. This, of course, has hilarious consequences.

At one point Clement Freud had to talk on, 'How be irristable to the opposite sex'. Imagine Eeyore from Winnie the Pooh, well this is what Clement sounds like. Pure comedy. Although i cringed when he got back onto the topic and said, 'Tell them that you are a eunuch'. (!?) Stephen Fry follows this with his fool proof advice, 'tell them that you are gay, and then they'll be all over you!'. I was laughing all the way to work!
